Vintage Pakamac Adverts - A new slant on them

My love of Plastic Macs
I still can't quite fathom why I love plastic macs so much, but I just do. It has been a love that has spanned decades from my earliest memories, when they were quite prevalent as a high street item and a popular fashion item as well.
Most of the images displayed in this blog, are reconstructions of advertisements from the 20th century, demonstrating just how popular these raincoats are. A lot of them are reconstructions from newspaper adverts from the UK and the Republic of Ireland, archived by The British Newspaper Archive. My reconstructions acknowledge the archive as the source of my information.
